Whew!
Damn, I feel good. I biked to work today!! :D It's only about 4 and a half miles, took about half an hour. The only problems were 1) it was actually WET today (sprinkling, in SoCal?? Unheard of!) and 2) I ... didn't have a helmet. D: Nothing happened to me today, but I should get one just in case. And to keep my head warm. ;) (I totally got chewed out by my co-worker when I told him!) Oh, and also, mental note: don't wear white on the way to work. Hell, don't wear anything I care about, because cars splash up an amazing amount of oil just driving on the road. I don't know where all these black spots came from omg.
Also, MAJOR suckage about the very large earthquake in China. :( Thankfully I think my brother's okay, but it did hit a pretty metropolitan area. Death count is in the 9000s currently, including some kids who were in their school when it collapsed. :/
Anyway, back to work. We just got a new service, and I'm in charge of converting the old documents to this new system, so I'm pretty busy. o.o

Must get.... :O Though I'm sure 90% of my f-list has already beat this game, but jeez, they finally put it on the platform it was made for!
Work is funny. Somewhat awkward phone conversations with tech guys are not helped when they tell you your voice is adorable. o.o Haha. Hah. o.o It also doesn't help when your co-worker *coughLINDA* is laughing away in front of you. BUT at least the problem has been (mostly) overcome!

Shanghai rice cakes (nian gao)
I made this yesterday. This isn't my picture, so mine was slightly different: ground pork instead of pork strips, and with the addition of broad beans (though I was looking for soybeans). Of course you can always leave out the pork if you like.

I do believe that this is completely gluten-free, since the cakes are made of rice (oh except for the tiny bit in the soy sauce), and can be vegan if you take out the pork. I've made this before, but forgot to write this down.
Look, I do cook! :O
